Dot Democracy

Dot democracySo it is time for decision making and you have many ideas up on the board.

If you have twenty ideas up on the board and you wish to narrow it down to three or four with the group.

You give to each participant 4 or 5 dots and offer the following instruction

“Put the dots next to those items you really think we should focus on”

or

‘Put a tick on up to 5 things you would be willing to spend your own time working on”

You can either spread you dots around or load them up onto two or three items.

Participants will create for your an  indicative list of priorities from a long list of disperate ideas.
